Nowadays, wireless charging, a popular power transfer technology, has been given huge emphasis due to its high efficiency, reliability, diversity and safety, which offer much convenience in people's daily life, industrial production, and science research. Starting from 1813, wireless charging has developed with great progress and been categorized into four measures with different basic disciplines, each of which has distinct advantages in aspects of frequency ranges, outer temperature and other external factors. Especially wireless charging applied on mobile phones with the use of electromagnetic induction has benefited people most. Besides, during the period, the efficiency of wireless charging has reached to a considerably high level with lower cost, which helps to save lots of energy and resources. Therefore, according to the current information, this paper aims to focus on electromagnetic induction and microwave charging to figure out how wireless charging works, how electromagnetic induction can help mobile phones to be charged and how it differs from the other type of charging.
