Designing Rectangular Patch Antennafor broad band 5G Communication

Patch antenna consists of a plated geometry as patch on one side of the PCB and the other side with a ground plane. Nowadays, internet of things and 5G technologies enters into numerous fields to transmit massive data. This antenna is used in many portable devices. The proposed work designs arectangular microstrip antenna using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) simulationsoftware. The antenna is designed for 7.5 GHz resonant frequency. For the frequency range between 5GHzto 10 GHz the reflection coefficient is observed as - 10dB. The proposed patch antenna is selected with Rogers RT/duroid 5880[tm]. Also, the design includes loss tangent of 0.02 with dielectric constant (cr = 2.2). Then the configured rectangular patch is activatedwith reasonable length and width transmission lines. Internet of Things (IOT) devices with GPS capabilities can use Patch antenna for satellite transmission. Also, this antenna finds applicationin WLAN, WIFI, etc.
