Research on road image enhancement based on histogram equalization

With the gradual development of urban traffic, there is a great demand for image enhancement technology with video surveillance as the mainstream. Therefore, it is of great scientific and economic value to study the enhancement algorithm of road images. Histogram equalization is a common method of image enhancement, which has 4 paths, which can deal with image enhancement under different environmental conditions. For pictures of road conditions that may require image enhancement, the histogram equalization of the four paths is used for image enhancement, and Python is used to compare the effect of the algorithm. Experiments show that the histogram equalization process has obvious effect on images with uneven gray distribution. And CHALE tends to work better.
