Application of Micro Thermal conductivity detector for Transformer Fault Analysis

By matching the requirements of early fault diagnosis and condition assessment of nuclear power plant transformers, and solving the technical bottlenecks of existing technologies, such as low sensitivity, limited detection components and long analysis time, a broad-spectrum rapid detection technique for dissolved gas in oil is proposed in this paper. The detection adopted the dual chromatographic column technology which used the ten-way valve to design the gas path and realized the rapid analysis of each component in the oil through the adjustment of the column temperature. Experimental results showed that the detection technology can achieve rapid detection (analysis time < 5 min) of low-concentration oil and gas samples (the detection limit is as low as 10 ppb), and the detection accuracy does not exceed 11% in the higher concentration section, which meets the detection needs of the industry.
