Description of nonlinear deformation diagrams of electrotechnical materials

In this work it is suggested to use an equation, where generalized Hooke’s law is expressed through the values of load and deformation, which are directly measured in experiments on axial tension, compression, and triaxial compression of materials, to mathematically describe the nonlinear deformation diagrams of electrical materials (metals and their alloys, polymers, etc.). This equation provides a new interpretation of the load-deformation diagram and describes all its sections, including the unloading branches in axial compression-extension as well as the creep and load relaxation curves for the same values of the material constants.
