The Research on Heat Loss Reduction of Prefabricated Building in Ulan-Bator

As the countries develops, large numbers of buildings are built, and energy consumption continues to increase. Since 2010, Ulan-Bator has had a shortage of energy. The tendency of winter peak loads to exceed the available capacity of the generators remain a pressing problem in the power industry. One of the solutions to save thermal energy is to increase the resource by reducing the heat loss of the building and enhance buildings insulation. Heat loads were calculated using the internationally recognized program designPH and Passive House Planning Package (PHPP). In this paper, the results of insulating the building walls from the outside are considered, and in addition, the possibility of reducing the negative impact on the environment is mentioned in the case of using renewable energy. In this research, thermal energy can be saved by 33.7% insulating the walls of the prefabricated building from the outside, and up to 50% by insulating the windows, roof, and floor.
