A method for improving the sensitivity of UV communication machine on Pico-Nano-Satellites

The UV band unintentional radiation emission by Pico-/Nano-satellite-borne electronic equipment is mostly strong, which easily interferes the satellite-based UV communications and hence causes a sharp decline of the sensitivity performance. In this study, a method for improving the sensitivity of Pinar satellite in UV communication is proposed. Firstly, the process and method of detecting the interference in the UV band of Pinar satellite are designed. After testing and analyzing, the interfering source could be detected and the corresponding interfering transmission path could be determined. Then, according to the characteristics of different interfering sources, the corresponding rectification measures are put forward, and the effectiveness of rectification measures is evaluated in advance before the rectification measures are implemented by means of electromagnetic simulation. Finally, the whole star test is performed to verify the rectification effect. By utilizing this method, the unintentional UV radiation interference of the electronic devices on the satellite is greatly weakened, and the star-mounting sensitivity of the UV communication machine is improved.
