Reform of Cultivating Practical Innovation Ability in Computer Science

The traditional way of training talents in higher education institutions can no longer meet the requirements of the industry any more. A perfect training mode should be established and improved timely. In this paper, we proposed a practical innovation ability cultivation mode of "competition as the driving force, industry guidance as the auxiliary wing, and scientific research training as the advantage". In this mode, the target ability indicators and professional knowledge are gradually run through in all practical teaching links. Within the last three years, the students who participated in the multi-level progressive practice teaching mode have achieved numerous progresses and achievements. Combining industry, competition and scientific research, students' innovation ability in practice is gradually improved, the effect of the current modified training mode is obvious, and the students' practical application ability is improved significantly.
