Power Quality Enhancement of the Distribution Network by Multilevel STATCOM

shunt active filter and multilevel inverter used to reduce harmonics was already existed, this paper proposes a PI controller-based innovative control strategy to address power quality issues in the distribution system. The proposed strategy has the capacity to automatically adjust the control gains and maintain voltage stability in response to disturbances, regardless of operating conditions. Simulation testing showed that the PI logic control outperformed under various operational scenarios, including network modifications, changing load levels, and disturbances of varying severity. The approach was tested using MATLAB/Simulink simulation.
