Contemplate and Investigate a Network based Intrusion Detection System

With the expanding request of system and advances in the field of system, presently every association needs to have their own information organizer and secure it against phishing exercises. To protect an enterprise from such attacks, a variety of technologies can be deployed such as honeypot, firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems. This study is more focused on Intrusion Detection System (IDS). In particular, this study has focused on snort, a lightweight open-source detection system, which is widely used these days. Further, Snort can also be utilized as IPS (Intrusion Prevention System). Here, a G-snort an interface is designed to establish standards and execute commands in snort. It offers all types of documents assistance needed for a greater grasp of the user. The developed system can further be used for Intrusion prevention also.
