Automated Aquaponics Farming using Internet of Things (IoT)

The sector that uses the most water, accounting for almost 70% of total consumption, is agriculture. Aquaponics is the best method to lessen the water consumption. Hydroponics and aquaculture are combined to create aquaponics. In aquaponics, water is continually cycled back and forth between the fish tank and the plant bed. This study has attempted to build a prototype that uses IOT technologies to both monitor and manage the aquaponic system. This study utilizes a NodeMCU, a PH sensor, an ultrasonic sensor, a DHT11 sensor, and a servo motor for monitoring and controlling purposes. Further, PH sensor, DHT11 sensor, and ultrasonic sensor are also connected to NodeMCU to monitor PH levels, humidity, temperature, and water level. Finally, the servo motor is interfaced to the NodeMCU to control the feeding.
