Solar Based Water Jar Carrying System

This paper presents a Water Jar Carrying System which is mainly developed for residential people and hostelites’ who are suffering from water jar carrying issues due to lacks of lift or other facility to carry the water jars. Today, many sophisticated solutions like hydraulic telescopic jack, bucket elevator, conveyor belt, lifting hoist and overhead cranes, etc. are present to solve this issue however these facilities are present only at high price, high maintenance cost and are suitable for large volumes. This paper proposed a semi-automated system which is working for carrying water jars for multi-storey building even in the absence of electricity as it works on solar energy. Water Jar Carrying System is a simple mechanical device used to raise water jars from ground level to a required floor to perform a specific work within minimum efforts. Motor and sensor mechanism is used to operate pulley to uplift the water jars. As this model is prototype its weight carrying capacity is 2kg and system is able to access 1meter height. Thus, in this paper semi-automated, solar operated, simple low cost and low maintenance Water Jar System is proposed.
