Design and Analysis of Fractal Antenna for Wireless Communications

In this paper, nested rectangular concentric hexagonal ring fractal geometry with concentric hexagonal ring components is employed as the basis for the antenna design for wireless applications. The antenna is created on a 1.6mm thickness FR-4 Epoxy substrate with a 4.4 dielectric constant. Additionally, the fractal antenna is changed to improve the band width and broaden the frequency range of the suggested model/antenna, respectively to quantify antenna properties such as Radiation pattern, Return loss, VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio), and Bandwidth. The software, HFSS (High frequency structure simulator) V13 was used to model the planned antenna. The suggested antenna is suitable for a variety of wireless standards including Bluetooth, WLAN, WIMAX, ITU Band, television broadcasting, and aeronautical radio navigations due to its increased bandwidth and multiband properties.
