Mobile based Automation of Electrical Appliances

The need for electricity has become essential to human existence. All our enterprises, daily activities, communication, etc., rely on power. The issue is that as automation technology progresses and life becomes easier in every way, individuals frequently leave the lights and fans on when they leave the rooms in publicly owned facilities like companies, colleges, and schools, among others. Nowadays., automatic systems are preferable to hand-held systems. The Online has become a necessary component of life due to the recent exponential growth in the number of Internet users, and IoT (Internet of Things) is the newest and most cutting-edge internet technology. This work intends to design a power management system where a human can control the devices through a mobile/web dashboard. Using the internet of things to control the lights, fans, and other electrical appliances in organizations are becoming increasingly popular these days. The node MCU needs to be charged constantly, and a router needs to be fixed in the room. These are the obstacles in this work. The created model uses wireless communication, is low-cost, and minimizes the need for manpower and electricity conservation. MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) App Inventor is used to create the mobile application, which links to the Firebase database and the Node MCU, which in turn controls the relays to control the devices as required.
