Corrosion Detection Simulation of Reinforced Concrete Structure for Power Transmission and Transformation Based on Microwave Transmission Method

As an important bearing foundation for power transmission and transformation equipment, reinforced concrete structures will face the threat of collapse in areas of strong corrosion. Hence, a corrosion detection numerical simulation method of reinforced concrete structures based on microwave transmission method was proposed. The effects of lift-off distance and placement of waveguide on scattering parameter S21 were analyzed, and the optimal parameters of microwave detection were determined. Then, the corrosion length and depth detection effect of the reinforcement in concrete structure under waveguide moving scanning was studied. The results show that the amplitude of S
21
is significantly different before and after corrosion of reinforced concrete structures. The detection effect is better when the waveguide is placed vertically and the lift-off distance is 2 mm. When the waveguide is mobile scanning, it can effectively identify the different corrosion lengths and depths of the reinforcement and realize the localization of corrosion defects.
