Optimized Design and Fatigue Life Analysis of Hydraulic Shock Absorbers for Spring Mechanisms

In order to improve the cushioning capacity of the spring-actuated mechanism for circuit breakers, and realize the weight reduction and high reliability of the hydraulic shock absorber, it is necessary to optimize the size design and fatigue life analysis of the hydraulic shock absorber. The finite element model of the hydraulic shock absorber in the spring actuator mechanism is established by comsol software. Based on the mathmetical model, the structural strength of the buffer is simulated and analyze., The stress strain cloud diagram of the buffer under different cylinder thicknesses is simulated, and the optimal cylinder thickness is obtained based on the material yield strength. The fatigue life analysis is carried out by using the life study in the fatigue module. which can locate the cylinder block prone to fatigue damage, The simulation results prove that the optimized cylinder body still has sufficient fatigue resistance. This study proposes the product optimization and fatigue life analysis method of the shock absorber for the spring actuation mechanism, which provided valuable insights into the design for the spring mechanism.
