Economic Scheduling of Integrated Port Energy System Considering the Flexible Operating Condition of Hydrogen Equipments

Seaport areas are rich of wind and solar power resource. Considering the intermittent feature of such power sources and rapid development of port hydrogen load, this paper establishes the hydrogen-electrical integrated port energy system (IPES) to improve the efficiency of energy use. The IPES not only stores the surplus electrical energy via power-to-hydrogen (P2H) transformation, but also coordinates the electrical and hydrogen demand in an integrated optimization model. In particular, the flexible operating condition of IPES is considered in the modeling of alkaline water electrolyzer and hydrogen storage tank. Therefore, the dynamic feature of the hydrogen equipment is accurately reflected. Finally, the proposed scheduling method is validated by the simulation study on an energy-hub-based system.
