PV System With Energy Monitoring to Enhance System Reliability

In this study, the creation and execution of a PV wirelessly module behavior monitoring scheme using microcontrollers are covered. This system’s goal is to locate PV modules that are operating under less-than-ideal circumstances, which may be brought on by solar cell temperature increases, cloud effect, PV module mitigation, and Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) performance. Therefore, it is crucial to keep an eye on each PV module’s performance.In this study, a system is proposed for monitoring PV module output data by a host computer, which can then be utilised to evaluate the effectiveness of each PV module. PV module output current as determined by a Hall Effect current sensor (ACS712).The PIC microcontroller serves as the system’s brain, receiving analogue data from sensors, converting it to digital values, and wirelessly transmitting it toward the host PC. The system’s graphic user interface (GUI), which was created using the visual studio programme for real-time PV output monitoring.To assess the performance of each PV module meanwhile, the PV modules’ input current, voltage, and power are gathered, logged, and analysed.
