Mathematical Modeling and Investigation on Faults In Power System

This work provides an investigation on faults in power system. Using MATLAB Simulink, a prototype power system was modeled with all six forms of faults induced into the transmission system. Our project’s primary goal is to identify and categorize faults affecting power transmission networks. Inputs for the suggested method include the three-phase currents and voltages from one terminal. For the investigation of each of the three phases that make up the process, the simulation technique is employed to distinguish and categorize any type of fault. According to overall output of the simulation, the current technique for identifying and categorizing transmission line faults performs effectively. To demonstrate the flexibility of the technique, several faults are simulated with various parameters. In the MATLAB environment, numerous simulations and signal analyses are performed.
