Modi Handwritten Characters Recognition Using Deep Learning Algorithm

The “MODI lipi” script was used to record religious works in Maharashtra, Western India, and was also the official script of the Maratha administration from the 17th century to the mid-twentieth century. The “MODI-manuscript,” a cultural treasure, tells the tale of its time period. Few people are aware of this “lipi,” despite its value as a source of inspiration and knowledge for today's youth. A recognition system for MODI might be developed in the domain of handwritten character recognition to make it easier to learn. Deep learning-based algorithms are used in a variety of pattern identification applications, including character recognition. Now a days transfer learning algorithms are used to improve the results of the recognition task. In the proposed CNN and Vgg16 algorithms are used for classification of MODI characters.
