Influence of the Solid Heat Storage Electric Boiler on Optimal Operation of a Combined Heat and Power Plant

In order to clear and define the influence of Solid Heat Storage Electric Boiler (SHSEB) on the operation of the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant, this paper builds a feasible operation region model and a coal saving rate model of the extraction condensing unit equipped with SHSEB. Moreover, the heating capacity power of SHSEB, regulation capacity and the cost to operate CHP plant is analyzed and compared with electrode electric boiler and water storage heat accumulator. Deflating the features of the current CHP plant, a prevalent day-ahead optimization operating plant model is constructed. As via original operation data of the CHP plant in Northeast of China, the models which were just being discussed above along with the analyzed theory results are verified. The model and research results can contribute to the theoretical tools and references for the optimal operation of CHP plants.
