Design of DTMF signal detection method based on improved Goertzel algorithm

Goertzel algorithm is a fast Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) algorithm, which is widely used in traditional DTMF signal detection systems. However, when using the Goertzel algorithm for DTMF signal processing, there may be problems such as large calculation bias in the corresponding frequency calculation due to the selection of parameters, which may not be acceptable in demanding practical engineering. Therefore, in this paper, a DTMF signal detection method based on improved Goertzel algorithm is proposed. Firstly, the input DTMF signal is pre-processed and suitable parameters are selected so as to eliminate the bias present in the calculation. In the next step, the energy of the DTMF signal is obtained by continuous iterative calculation, and whether the frequency deviation meets the requirements is analyzed. The DTMF signal that meets the standard will finish the steps of energy detection and segmentation, and finally output the correct recognition result. In addition, a GUI program is written to enhance the interactivity and comprehensiveness of the whole system in the verification experiments of this algorithm.
