Work Visa Analysis using Machine Learning Techniques

H1-B permits foreign workers to work in specialized vocations in the United States of America and is the most common non-immigrant visa. Millions of people apply for the H1B visa each year. It consists of new applicants, transfers, and renewals of H1B visas. However, only 80,000 applicants are chosen by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). An applicant’s employment and legal status are uncertain due to the H1-B visa application procedure, which also results in expensive legal and visa processing costs for the employer during the employment. This study intends to use the anonymized dataset of H1B applicants from 2015 to 2019 and apply data science techniques to look for patterns and improve the prediction of getting an H1B visa.
