Adaptive Response Surface Method for Antenna Gain Optimization of Large Platforms

The electromagnetic engineering analysis and design problem of large-scale platform is highly complex. In order to get rid of the state of analysis and design only by experience, an efficient and intelligent algorithm with good convergence is needed. Firstly, the characteristics of several intelligent algorithms are analyzed, and the adaptive response surface method is selected as the optimization algorithm. The adaptive response surface method is used to optimize the gain of a reduced dipole antenna near a metal plate on a large platform, and the results are compared with those of genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization. The results show that the adaptive response surface method has the advantage of fast convergence when applied to the gain optimization of the platform antenna.
