A New Shunt Hybrid Active Power Filter Configuration Research and Implementation for Enhancement of Power Quality

Waveform distortion is becoming more severe in broader applications of Transformers, rotating machines, power converters, fluorescent lamps, and Arcing Device loads in power systems. Therefore, both utilities and customers now place a high priority on finding effective solutions to the pollution issues. Using a shunt hybrid active power filter, this paper describes a novel method for rectifying power factor and reducing harmonics in non - linear loads. A better performance compensation of high-power voltage nonlinear loads is made possible by the combination of active and passive power filters. To consider shunt hybrid filter simulation using MATLAB/Simulink as a superior harmonic reduction method. A proposed hybrid filter's effectiveness and validity are shown through simulation results.
