D-Knights: A 3D Role-Playing Mobile Game for Students with Dyscalculia and Math Learning Disability

This paper proposes a mobile game-based learning system in Mathematics using a Role-Playing Game or simply RPG that aims to help grade four students who have dyscalculia and math learning disabilities in WordLab School Inc. Dyscalculia is term referring to having trouble understanding Mathematics on many levels including weakness in understanding the meaning of numbers and difficulty applying mathematical principles to solve problems, it is called as “Math Dyslexia” while math learning disability is the same as Dyscalculia but on a smaller scale. Nowadays in this generation, there are a lot of strategies to learn in school and one of this strategies is called gamified learning where students can improve learning and make it more engaging for individuals while playing a game. This mobile game-based learning lets students play a game and learn by their math curriculum and the teachers can monitor their progress in learning Math via the web application monitoring the game. And the students can play multiplayer as quiz time inside their classroom while teachers can monitor their progress. Teacher can create and modify questions for their students using the web application.
