A Satellite Transponder Design to Support the Progressive Construction of Gateway Stations

A design method for a multibeam high-throughput communication satellite transponder uplink is presented, which is capable of receiving signals from multiple ground gateways, but can also connect all beams to the same ground gateways through link transformation, realising the function of managing all beams by a single gateway. When the satellite is in orbit, the composition of the uplink can be switched in real time by sending commands from the ground to the satellite to realise the function of reconfiguring the feeder link in orbit. This function can meet the needs of satellite operators to gradually build ground-based gateway stations.
