An Ultra-Wideband ±45° Dual-Polarized Multi-Resonant 5G Base Station Antenna

dual-polarized multi-resonant 5G base station antenna is proposed for 3.3 GHz-5 GHz application. By changing the structure of the baluns and the shape of the dipole, the number of resonance points is increased, and the bandwidth is improved. By adding a parasitic element, the gain at high-frequency edge is increased, leading to stable radiation pattern. With return loss less than -14 dB, the simulation shows that the relative impedance bandwidth is reaches 62.7% (3 GHz-5.74 GHz), completely covering n77/n78/n79 (3.3-4.2 GHz and 4.4-5 GHz). The antenna gain is above 8 dBi, and the port isolation is greater than 30 dB.
