Design of the Risk Warning System Based on UWB for the Positioning of Substation Staff

In order to reduce the occurrence of safety accidents like casualties and equipment damage caused by mis-operation of the equipment by substation staff straying into a charged electric clearance, this paper propose a risk warning system based on UWB. The system can collect the ranging data by the UWB positioning module. Besides, it can also analyze the position and optimize the filter by the upper computer so that the front-terminal staff can get accurate positioning information. Together with the upper computer, the system can realize the requirements like path visualization, risk warning and so on. According to the test results, the average false alarm rate of the system is less than 0.25%, and its peak false alarm rate is less than 0.92%. Meanwhile, the system is well adaptable to the working environment.
