Research on Reliability Evaluation of NC Turret Considering Wear of End-Toothed Discs

The worn state of the end-toothed disc directly determines the indexing accuracy of the NC turret, thus affecting the machining quality of the machine tool. In this paper, a novel reliability evaluation method of the NC turret is presented considering the wear of the end-toothed disc. Through analyzing the wear mechanism of the end-toothed disc, the wear degree of the end-toothed disc is divided. In order to analyze the influence of the different degrees of end-toothed disc wear on the reliability of the NC turret, the accelerated wear test of the end-toothed disc is designed and carried out. Relying on the test data, taking vibration and repetitive positioning accuracy as the reliability characteristic indexes respectively, the reliability degradation model of NC turret considering the wear of the end-toothed disc is established based on the transformation Gamma process, so as to accurately evaluate the reliability of NC turret.
