Causes of Chinese Mainland's Major Chemicals-Related Accidents from 2015 to 2020: A Review Based on Complex Network Theory

The chemical industry is one of the most typical long process industries, with complex processes, correlation and coupling, and harsh operating conditions. These complex system features made chemical accidents prone to occur frequently, and most accidents were directly or indirectly caused by human actions. Human factors ran through the accident occurrence process and played a decisive role in accident occurrence, evolution, and emergency handling. This study made loss-prevention recommendations for the chemical industry after conducting a review of accident reports and creating a complex network model.
