Improved Reverse-Time Migration for Through-the-wall Radar Imaging

Reverse-time migration (RTM) is a highly accurate migration method, especially in complex scenes. The cross-correlation imaging condition based on RTM is first used for through-the-wall imaging in this paper. However, it can be found that low-frequency noises exist in the RTM imaging. In order to suppress these noises and improve the imaging resolution, we propose an improved imaging method applying a wavefield decomposition to RTM. To verify the feasibility of our proposed method, the imaging of a target behind a wall is simulated. The numerical results show that good imaging results can be achieved by the RTM with wavefield decomposition.
