Design of Reflectarray Antenna Based on Amplitude-Phase Metasurface and Convex Optimization

This paper synthesizes and designs reflectarray antennas based on numerical optimization and amplitude-phase metasurface. Techniques including convex approximation, low rank solution, eigenvalue decomposition and C-shaped metasurface are adopted to realize the reflectarray antennas that induce cosecant and flat top beams. Effectiveness of the designs are verified by numerical and full-wave simulations, and the work has practical significance for the design of array antenna.
