A Design of Reflective Metasurface for Microwave Power Transmission with Focusing Characteristics

A phase-compensated metasurface is proposed in this paper. The phase compensation range is more than 360° in the 5-8 GHZ frequency range by using the new double-ring metamaterial. By changing the arm length of metamaterial cell structure, the phase compensation value changes linearly with the arm length, realizing the regulation of any phase. A reflective antenna array consisting of 20 $\times $ 20 elements is designed based on this metasurface. Simulation results show that 75.64% of the power is received by the receiving surface 1m away from the reflection array, and the maximum power density of the receiving plane is 27.87W/m

. The far-field gain of reflection array antenna is 22.23dB and HPBW is 20°, which can effectively suppress sidelobe and improve power transmission efficiency.
