Design and Analysis of a Metamaterial Inspired Peano Fractal Antenna

A metamaterial inspired antenna with peano fractal loaded at the top is designed and discussed in this paper. Two peano fractals were loaded on the top of monopole antenna and then, four interdigital LHMs were loaded. Transmission line model was used to analyze the theory of miniaturization and multiband. The size of the proposed antenna is $34\times 25\times 0.8\mathrm{m}\mathrm{m}^{3}$ and it covers $1.47\sim 1.50\mathrm{GHz}$, $2.27\sim 2.41GHz$, $3.05\sim 3.08\mathrm{GHz}$, $3.26\sim 3.31GHz$, $6.78\sim 7.35\mathrm{GHz}$ and $7.65\sim 7.88\mathrm{GHz}$, which is applicable to GPS, L-band, C-band and WIFI 6E. This antenna shows good omnidirectional property.
