Clutter simulation of two-scale rough surface under multi-main-lobe fuze antenna

This paper presents the scattering simulation of rough surface under the illumination of multi-main-lobe fuse antenna. Generally, DEM Terrain Data can describe the large-scale fluctuation trend of the surface. However, small-scale random fluctuation, i.e. the random fluctuation within the large-scale grid, will greatly affect the detection echo of microwave radar. In this paper, the SPM (Small Perturbation Method) is used to compute the scattering of each rough element, and the polarization rotation and phase interference is performed on large-scale grid elements. Since the multi-main-lobe fuse antenna covers a wider area of the surface, the real-time simulation of clutter faces great challenges. A part of rough surface grid is selected according to the radiation footprint of the antenna on the reference plane for echo simulation, so as to accelerate the simulation speed for practical application.
