FORTAGONO: A Model for the Technological Mediation of the Teaching and Learning Processes

The role of technology in society is not passive. Little by little, technology has changed the way we communicate, express, and conduct ourselves in our daily lives. In the case of education, this has led to a transformation of the educational experience of teachers and students. However, not all are equally prepared to take advantage of it. To explore ways to contribute to the mitigation of this problem, inspired by participatory design techniques, we conducted a series of activities with teachers and students. After a qualitative analysis of the results, a model for the successful technological mediation of the teaching and learning processes emerged, which we call FORTAGONO. In this document we present this model and its evolution. We also discuss its benefits and limitations, and talk about our future work to develop a framework of use.
