A Strategy to Reduce the Importation of Petroleum Oils in Vietnam by Transforming Rice Bran Waste to Vegetable Oil-Based Transformer Liquid Insulation

As vegetable oils was entirely eco-friendly, have an extraordinary dielectric strength, a great flash point, and are more companionable by means of paper insulators comparable with mineral-based insulating oils, they has effectively been used in the areas of insulation for distribution and power transformers. Vegetable oils still suffer from limitations such more viscosity, more pour point, poor oxidation strength, and poor fast mode streamer resistance. As a result, numerous research have been supported out to enhance the qualities of vegetable oils. In order to lay the groundwork for determining the direction of research in vegetable oil-based insulating lubricants in Vietnam, this paper will review the significant investigation findings on the physicochemical behaviour of vegetable lubricants as well as the techniques utilized to increase the efficacy of vegetable oils. And also provides a strategy to reduce the importation of petroleum oils in vietnam by transforming rice bran waste to vegetable oil-based transformer liquid insulation.
