Abstract:

Over the years, the world has transformed to be a better place with the help of advanced technologies that makes life simpler and much more accessible. One main advancement is automation for the home which brings efficient work to life. Remote control of several components of the home is possible with home automation. The paper uses the voice-controlled home automation concept into practice with the help of Google Assistant for voice recognition and control. The purpose of Google Assistant-controlled Home Automation is to provide voice control of household appliances. The NodeMCU (FS P32) microcontroller is utilised, and Wi-Fi is used for communication between the microcontroller and the application. The Adafruit account, a cloud-based free IoT web server used to create virtual switches, links to the F This Than That” website, also known as FTTT. The F This Than That” website is used to construct if-else expressions. The Google Assistant decodes the voice signal before being delivered to the microcontroller, which controls the relays that are connected to it. According to the user’s request to Google Assistant, the linked gadget to the relay can be turned ON or OFF. Voice commands for Google Assistant have been introduced through the FTTT website. As a user offers Google assistant instructions, home gadgets like a bulb and motors can be controlled appropriately with 100% accuracy.
