Design of Various Controllers for Car Suspension System

Suspension system in any vehicle is used to absorb the shocks caused by the irregular road bumps, and provide a smooth and comfortable ride. It consists of various mechanical elements viz. dampers and springs. Besides this, it also boosts the friction between road and tires and thus enhances the road holding capability of tires. l n this research article, automatic control systems are developed for the suspension system. The conventional PI controllers based on CHR and SIMC approaches have been designed using MATLAB. Further, the improvement in control system performance has been accomplished by developing AhFE based controller in MATLAB.
