The Identification and Compensation Method of Translation Axis Error

In order to meet the demand of high precision for the translational axis of contemporary NC machine tools, the spatial geometric errors of the translational axis of NC machine tools are studied in depth, and the characteristics of the spatial positioning errors of NC machine tools are analyzed comprehensively, based on the 9-line error identification method, a convenient method to identify the spatial geometric error of the translational axis is proposed, and the spatial matrix mathematical model of the homogeneous coordinate transformation principle is established based on the 9-line error identification method, at the same time, a new method of translational axis error compensation which can effectively compensate the error is put forward, and the specific mathematical model of error compensation is established, the experimental results show that the proposed method is not only theoretically correct, but also can greatly improve the positioning accuracy of the machine tool translation axis.
