Performance Analysis of Modified Sheppard Taylor Converter Based Anfis with Grid Integrated HRES

In recent years, the renewable energy sources (RES) like PV along with wind, which absorbs and stores energy in nature and also it is pollution free. The RES with solar and wind has been increased significantly owing to fast growth of power electronic equipment's. In this proposed control approach, the hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) based PV-wind-battery with Modified Sheppard Taylor (MS-T) converter is utilized. The power generated from PV is low with fluctuations because of climatic changes, which is improved with the assistance of MS-T converter. By utilizing MS-T converter, the voltage gain of this converter is high with low ripples. The ANFIS based MPPT technique is utilized to track the maximum power from PV, through which the gating pulses for MS-T converter are generated with the aid of PWM generator. The PMSG based WECS is also incorporated with the grid through VSI. The power obtained from wind turbine (WT) is AC, which is then transformed into DC by utilizing a PWM rectifier and it is controlled with the assistance of a PI controller. The battery is utilized to store energy, if battery voltage exceeds, the energy from battery is fed to the grid through VSI, whereas the charging and discharging are takes place with the assistance of bidirectional buck-boost converter. By utilizing DQ theory, the VSI is controlled by analogizing the reference signal with the carrier signal through which the grid synchronization and reactive power are accomplished with the THD 0.9%. The complete system is validated through MATLAB simulink.
