Explicit Dynamic Analysis of Ice Hockey Shin Guard Based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA

In order to verify the protective performance of ice hockey shin guards, a dynamic analysis method of ice hockey shin guards based on ANSYS/LS-DYNA was proposed to solve the problem of using simulation technology to verify the process of impacted stress after the collision. Firstly, to decode the problem of large workload and low precision in modelling objects with complex surfaces, a strategy for modelling using 3D scanning was proposed. Secondly, a simulation analysis method based on usage scenarios was proposed to solve the problem that the reliability of simulation results is challenging to grasp. Based on the actual collision scene of ice hockey shin guards for dynamic analysis to improve the accuracy and reliability of the simulation results. Finally, the stress change curve under multiple working conditions and parameters is analyzed to verify the model’s validity and protection performance of the ice hockey shin guards, which provides a reference for further research on the ice hockey shin guards.
