Effect of inlet mode on combustion and emission characteristics of rotary oscillating internal combustion engine

In order to study the influence of the intake method on the rotary oscillating internal combustion engine, a numerical simulation calculation model of the working process of a suitable rotary oscillating internal combustion engine was constructed based on CONVERSE. The air intake mode is set to single nozzle mode and double nozzle mode, and the influence of different intake methods on the cylinder flow field, flame propagation and emission generation law of the internal combustion engine is analyzed by comparison, and the influence of the intake mode on the combustion process of the rotary engine is studied. The results show that the intake mode of the rotary swinging internal combustion engine will affect the turbulence intensity in the cylinder, thereby affecting the mixing of the mixture in the cylinder and affecting the propagation speed of the flame, but the turbulence intensity is too strong, and the flame surface will be broken, resulting in a decrease in the exothermic heat; compared with the double nozzle intake method, the single-nozzle intake method can reduce the HC emission by 37.5%, which has a significant emission reduction effect.
