Numerical Simulation of Reinforcement Design and Bearing Capacity for External Prestressing Deviator Based on Strut-and-Tie Model

Combined with the stress trace method and topology optimization diagram, the Strut-and-Tie Models in the stress disturbance regions of integrated and distributed deviators are constructed. Reinforcement design and numerical simulation are also conducted for the deviator based on the finite element software. The model internal forces are obtained based on the equilibrium condition to check the bearing capacity of the member. The change of deviators’ mechanical performance before and after reinforcement and the stress distribution law of hoop stirrup are studied. The result shows that the mechanical performance of the deviator is improved, the peak stress is reduced, and the stress of the reinforcing hoop stirrup is small, which is much less than the yield strength of the reinforcement.
