Development of the Empirical model and Optimization of parameters for prediction of Condenser Vacuum pressure in Thermal Power Plant

The main aim of the present study is to explore the relationship between numerous input parameters of the condenser vacuum pressure using the Theory of experimentation and to optimize the output using particle swarm optimization techniques. The present work explores the parameters: Vaccum pressure, Load, Low-pressure exhaust hood temperature, condenser inlet, outlet temperature, and time. It was observed that the Theory of experimentation could be used to predict condenser vacuum pressure under different operating conditions with a high level of accuracy. The condenser hood and outlet temperature strongly influence the condenser vacuum pressure. The condenser vacuum pressure was predicted, and the actual value fit very well. The mean percentage error between the measures and the predicted value is -0.1021%, whereas the coefficient of determination is 0.9476, respectively.
