Abstract:

A patient's hygiene is one of the most important aspects of healthcare that the medical staff must guarantee. One such requirement arises for a patient with independence in providing the proper dose of medications at the proper time in nursing care and must be distributed in an automated fashion to preserve hygiene at the hospital. Using several domains and technologies, including machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), web development, mobile application development, database management, and cloud computing, this research offers a system for an automatic medication dispensing system. An automated medication dispensing system uses distinctive traits to identify the patient. The machine then looks up the patient's information in the database. The tablet is dispensed by the system using servo motors from a tube that contains the tablets stacked one on top of the other. The prescribed tablet is dispensed when the patient extends their hand as the InfraRed(IR) sensor recognizes the movement of the hand. The number of tablets still available is updated in the database and shown on a webpage. The system is effective and easy to use.
