Abstract:

Occupational safety and health is a world’s crucial issue since the rate of work accidents continues to increase, especially in developing countries. In Indonesia, work accidents are still considerably high. Many companies have implemented OSH quite well, yet incidents and accidents still occur. In order to meet zero accidents, companies need mitigation strategies related to the causes and risks of work accidents that might occur. For this reason, this study aims to reveal the factors that cause accidents in companies and determine mitigation strategies that need to be carried out using the ANP method. The results found that the highest factors for accident occurrences are humans, with a percentage of 51.66%, and the environment, with 31.85%. The human criterion becomes the highest due to the lack of awareness from workers. Therefore, the alternative mitigation strategy that needs to be done is to increase supervision and improve SOPs.
