Power Scavenging Using a Darrieus Type Vertical Axis Wind Turbine on Highways

In day-to-day life, Energy is an important aspect. For producing electricity, Non-Renewable sources are used. As these sources are limited, there is a need to move from non-renewable to renewable sources. Among all renewable energy sources, Wind is the best source because it has lower effects on the environment than other energy sources. For a constant supply of wind, Highways appear to be the best. So, the idea is to design a darrieus-type vertical axis wind turbine that will be placed along the medians of the highways. In this way, the wind from both sides of the highways will be observed by the blades. Since fluctuation occurs in wind sources due to environmental conditions, a storage system is needed for a constant supply. So, the generated power will be stored in the batteries for future use.
