An Intelligent Authentication System for Improved Security

In the era of technologically developed world, itis necessary to update our security systems to make living easier. The ultimate aim of our proposed system is to impart security to the object which is supposed to be under protection and that which should be accessed only by an authenticated person. The object may be chosen as a door lock of a home or a private cabin or a separate locker. The proposed security system works in a smart way that when someone nears the object, the presence of the person will be detected, further the photo of the person is captured. The system is designed and implemented through the MATLAB along with the pre-existing dataset. Further it employs facial recognition which has the ability to identify the authenticated person using Viola Jones algorithm and classification performed with CNN. Once it is identified as authorized person, the lock opens automatically and access will be provided. On the other hand, if an unauthorized person is detected, the owner is intimated via the e-mail. Once the classification is done, the respective details will be updated in the Adafruit webpage for future reference of the corresponding owner. This system provides an opportunity to serve old age people and to identify unauthorized intruder. Further it possesses an advantage over conventional lock and keys.
